We are a firm of experienced lawyers in Meaford on Georgian Bay. We serve a large
geographical area ranging from Owen Sound in the west to Collingwood in the east, and
all the communities in between, including Meaford, Thornbury, and the
Town of the Blue Mountains.

The history of the firm is as follows:
1912 - Firm established by George G. Albery
1936 - George Albery forms partnership with Colin Bennett
1949 - Colin Bennett forms partnership with J. Ian McKay
1957 - Colin Bennett becomes Chief Judge of the County and District
Courts for Ontario and
Ian McKay continues as sole practitioner until 1964
1964 - Grant Scheifele and Ian McKay form the partnership known as McKay and Scheifele
1982 - Ian McKay is appointed a Judge of the County Court of
the County of Bruce and later
becomes a Judge of the Superior Court of Ontario
1982 - Grant Scheifele and Joe Erskine form a partnership
1988 - Brian Renken joins the partnership and the firm becomes
Scheifele, Erskine & Renken
